I’m addicted to advice columns. I don’t know if it’s the reassurance that there are crazier people than me out there, the pride in knowing exactly how to solve someone’s problem, or the pleasure it is to disagree with the columnist when he or she gives advice, but I can’t stop reading them.
Occasionally though, I think all parties involved (including me) need a reality check.
Got a problem? I recommend Jesus. Not a book, not a way of life, not a new habit, but our sovereign, lovingkind Lord.
May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:16)
